A 25-year-old man will appear in court after allegedly crashing into a school in Adelaide's eastern suburbs, coming to a stop in the playground.
SA Police were called to Burnside Primary School on High Street in the early hours of Sunday morning after reports of a car colliding with a fence.
Police will allege the grey Volkswagen station wagon crashed through the school fence, and into the sports equipment shed before colliding with a slide in the playground and coming to a halt.
They said the driver allegedly returned a breath test of 0.144, nearly three times the legal limit.
A Burnside man, 25, was reported for driving without due care and drink driving, and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Police said there were no injuries to the driver nor his two passengers.
Meanwhile, a 67-year-old South Plympton man remains in a serious condition in hospital after a separate incident in Adelaide's south-western suburbs on Friday night.
Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Anzac Highway and Birchmore Close at Plympton about 8:20pm on Friday after reports that a car had hit a pedestrian.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and police had earlier appealed for witnesses as they tried to determine his identity.
