Ah, Miu Miu. The current reigning favorite fashion brand has become a real force in the industry. Miuccia Prada's baby has set off many a fashion trend, most notably the now infamous no pants look. It gained its infamy by being somewhat unrealistic in the real world. Of course, it doesn't really involve skipping bottoms. Usually, there are some briefs, bodysuits or tights involved in lieu of pants. Regardless, it's one of the trickier trends to pull off. Which is why we love that there's now a more modest alternative for summer: capri pants.
Before you dismiss them by replying that the tight, cropped pants that frequently hit just under the knees are too old school, Coperni begs to differ. Another It brand, the fashion house sent a couple of capri representatives down its Spring 2024 runway. The drawstring black take is one of the easier ways to tap into the phenomenon. But it's the brand's ruffled hem denim version that is the standout of the season.
Naturally, the price of the must-have jean of the summer is pretty high, $1,080. Fortunately, there are quite a few lower-cost options. Leave it to Zara and Mango to supply more affordable pieces that still look expensive. Anthropologie mainstay Maeve is another great source.
You can play it safe and stick with the classic black interpretations. Or show off your adventurous side by switching things up with bright colors and/or bold patterns.
