Dunn, who was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal and Presidential Citizens Medal for his bravery, expressed his belief that democracy is at stake, stating, 'We are one election away from the extinction of our democracy as we know it.' This realization, along with his years of public service, propelled him to step up and take action.
