Capitol Lens | Johns in bronze - Roll Call

A statue of Barbara Rose Johns, who led a protest against segregation at her Farmville, Va., school in 1951, is unveiled in Emancipation Hall on Tuesday as members of the Virginia delegation, congressional leaders, Gov. Glenn Youngkin and relatives applaud. The bronze statue replaces one of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee that was removed in 2020.
