Cape Gentleman retired after suffering tendon injury in Grand National

Cape Gentleman Grand National National Shark Hanlon Surgery

Cape Gentleman has been retired from racing after suffering a tendon injury at the Grand National on Saturday.

The John 'Shark' Hanlon trained horse suffered the injury shortly before 'The Chair' fence and did not complete Saturday's showpiece event at Aintree.

It is understood that Cape Gentleman will undergo surgery on the injury on Sunday in an attempt to save the horse's life.
