Around five kg of cannabis estimated to be worth €100,000 has been seized following a search of a premises in Ballymun.
The seizure was the result of a Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau joint operation.
A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the seizure and he is being detained at Ballymun Garda Station.
A Revenue spokeswoman: "As part of an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized 5 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €100,000, following the search, under warrant, of a premises in the Ballymun area of Dublin."
"A man in his 30's was arrested by An Garda Síochána in connection with the seizure and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ballymun Garda Station."
They added: "Investigations are ongoing."
The operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
