Cannabis farm with more than 100 plants discovered

A cannabis farm containing more than 100 plants has been discovered in Widnes.

Police announced the find on social media shortly after 3pm today. Cheshire Constabulary told the ECHO the cannabis farm was discovered on Mount Street at 9.40am. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

The social media post was accompanied by several photographs: one of some large transparent evidence bags full of plants resembling the Class B drug next to a police van, and two of the grow set-up itself, with reflective surfaces on the walls along with cables and crammed plug sockets.
