A killer who bashed her neighbour to death with a rolling pin before playing Candy Crush has been released from jail early after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Sandra Weir, 47, murdered 82-year-old Mary Logie in her own home in Leven, Fife, in January 2016 after stealing thousands of pounds to feed her heroin addiction.
She was sentenced to at least 21 years in prison - one of the longest life sentences for a woman in Scottish legal history at the time.
