A vigil has been held in Falkirk in support of people in Ukraine.
Locals gathered with candles outside Trinity Church, which was lit in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, last night to reflect on the conflict.
Readings and prayers for peace and hope were read out as Russia continues its invasion of the country.
Reverend Robert Allan led the vigil and told Falkirk Live: "I think my thoughts are likes everyone's when they see the pictures and footage no TV - it's just horrendous.
"My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine at this time.
"When we look on, we feel helpless.
"But we can do collections, we can donate money, we can do all sorts of things.
"But most importantly we can all come together like this and show solidarity to the people of Ukraine and remember then in our prayers and thoughts.
"Everybody is sickened by what is happening in Ukraine, by the pictures that we see and the action that has been taken.
"We all hope and pray for peace."
