Candace Owens Denies Dating Profile Claims as Her Own Defamation Fight With the Macrons Remains Unresolved

Owens' lawyers argue France's president and his wife sued in Delaware for its two-year time limit, not the three months in France (Credit: Gage Skidmore / CC BY-SA 2.0)

Candace Owens has denied claims by a writer using the pen name Geoffrey Edevane about four old dating profiles he links to her. Posting on X on Tuesday 29 September, the podcaster called the story 'the most deranged' invention yet. French President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte, his wife, sued Owens for defamation in July 2025.

Defamation means spreading false claims that harm a person's good name. Delaware judge Sheldon K. Rennie heard Owens' bid to end the case on 27 July but has not ruled. His ruling will decide if the lawsuit goes ahead. IBTimes UK has seen no proof Owens created any of the four.
