A woman who says she was raped by a man she met at a Canberra nightclub last year has described him as a "deranged animal".
Chidi Okwechime, 34, is on trial in the ACT Supreme Court on four counts of rape and one count of choking.
During a police interview played to the jury, the woman broke down as she described what she said was an aggressive attack which left her with bruising and a damaged rib.
The woman told police she had been to a 21st fancy dress party, where the theme was to come as the person you'd like to be found dead as, and she was dressed as Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction.
She said after the party, she had met a friend at a nightclub, before going to the now-closed club Kokomos.
The court heard it was there she met a group of men, including Mr Okwechime.
The woman admitted to police she did a line of cocaine in the toilets, when she dropped her phone.
But she said bar staff would not help her charge it to get it working.
She said she then went to another nightclub with the group.
It was then Mr Okwechime offered her a lift to a party with another couple, where she could charge her phone.
But she told police when she got there, there was no party.
The other couple went into a bedroom before she was assaulted.
She said she asked Mr Okwechime repeatedly to stop.
"I kept thinking 'I am being raped, I am being raped, I am being raped'," she said.
She alleged Mr Okwechime chided her for resisting.
"I burst into hysterical tears… I did not consent to any of this."
She told police Mr Okwechime had also tried to choke her.
"I felt like my eyeballs were bulging," she said.
But Mr Okwechime's lawyer Steven Whybrow told the jury his client denied many of the allegations and said what did happen occurred with consent.
Mr Whybrow said a bruise on the woman's neck was what is colloquially known as a "love bite".
