Prime Minister Mark Carney announced on social media that 'Canada is now the most connected economy in the world.' He said this after walking away from Washington trade negotiations following last-minute demands from the neighbouring US.
'Over the last year, Canada has signed more than 20 trade and security deals across five continents. We completed our most recent trade deal with the United Arab Emirates in a record 47 days. Canada is now the best connected economy in the world,' Carney said.
