Under Canadian immigration rules, digital nomads, remote workers employed by foreign companies or self-employed individuals serving overseas clients—can stay in Canada as visitors and work remotely for up to six months without obtaining a work permit, according to a report by CIC News. This exemption applies because they are not considered to be entering the Canadian labour market.
