Canada becomes first World Cup co-host to be eliminated as Morocco makes history

Morocco World Cup Canada Azzedine Ounahi Soufiane Rahimi

Morocco defeated Canada 3-0 in the World Cup last 16, ending the co-hosts' record run in the tournament.
Azzedine Ounahi scored two goals for Morocco, with Achraf Hakimi assisting the first and Brahim Diaz setting up the second.
Substitute Soufiane Rahimi added a third goal late in the match, crowning a convincing performance.
Morocco has now advanced to the quarter-finals for the second consecutive time, a first for an African nation.
They will face the winners of the Paraguay versus France match in the quarter-finals on 9 July.
