Can you watch The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon in the UK?

Superfans of much-loved show The Walking Dead have long wondered what has become of their beloved hero Daryl Dixon.

And now they can finally find out, thanks to a new spin-off looking specifically at the character played by Norman Reedus.

The new series, which will follow fan-favourite Daryl in the aftermath of the main series, will see him evade clans of ‘walkers’ and finding himself in France, trying to work out a way home.

But as fans have come to expect, things are never straightforward and there are lots of twists and turns in the works.

Here is all we know about the spin-off:

Can you watch the Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon in the UK?

So far the answer is a disappointing no. Despite the success of the original series and how much the UK audiences loved it, there has so far been no word yet on a UK channel picking up the show.

AMC, the network that streams The Walking Dead shows in the US, is available to watch for BT TV customers but in the UK log-ins, the Daryl Dixon spin-off does not appear to be on the AMC schedule in the UK as yet.

It is something we will be keeping a close eye on!

In the meantime, all episodes of the Walking Dead from season 1 to 11 are available to watch on Disney+.

What is Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon about?

Dixon, who is played by actor Norman Reedus, has long been a favourite of fans engrossed in the series. In this new six-parter, he will go it alone while struggling with memory loss.

The series starts with Daryl finding himself washed up on the shores of France with no idea about how he made it across the Atlantic. He then settles into a new life while trying to keep himself and a child called Laurent safe, whom he is told holds the key to “leading the revival of humanity”.

Where does it take place in the show’s timeline?

The show picks up in the aftermath of the last series.

Actor Norman Reedus has also teased that “there’ll be a lot of familiar faces” during the series, so fans may even be able to catch up on what others have been up to and where they find themselves after the main series.
