'Have you done the Fiveways yet?' was a question kids learning to drive in South Liverpool always asked each other back in the 90s when most roads had a 30mph speed limit and there were fewer cars on the streets.
Even though driving has become more complicated with variable speed limits on motorways, traffic cameras and cycle lanes, these days it's still roundabouts like that infamous one in Childwall that worries many new drivers the most.
And sometimes they have garnered such a reputation that they have become landmarks - not strikingly impressive ones like the Liver Building or Southport Pier maybe, but just as significant in their own way to people living here in Merseyside.
So we've put together this little quiz, using aerial images from Google Maps, to see how well you know your Merseyside roundabouts. Can you recognise them from a single photo and no other clues? Have a go above, or in a new window here, and find out.
