Former Scotland international and talkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist has said that Newcastle United target Cody Gakpo can 'still improve' despite him leading the race for the World Cup Golden Boot.
The 23-year-old has already managed three goals in this year's group stage, with one goal in each of their three matches, on top of his ridiculous club record of 13 goals and 17 assists in just 24 matches for PSV Eindhoven.
Gakpo has been linked with the Magpies in the past and while it's obvious some of Europe's biggest clubs will be hunting for his signature after the tournament, it was actually Leeds United who came closest to signing him in the summer transfer window.
