How do I donate blood? NHS call for donors with rare blood types

An initiative to help individuals with rare blood types secure a "precision-matched" donation to avoid the risk of severe reactions has been launched by the NHS.

Scientists have embarked on a large-scale research project, DNA-testing the blood of 77,000 donors to date.
