Brad Stevens, a name synonymous with coaching excellence ever since his days at the helm of Butler, embarked on a journey that took him from the sidelines to the front office of the Boston Celtics, where he has helped to assemble a contending ball club that could at least in theory put the Indiana native in line to win the NBA’s 2024 Executive of the Year award.
Stevens first gained prominence as the head coach of the Butler Bulldogs, then in 2013, the Celtics made a pivotal decision by appointing Stevens as their head coach. He would later step into the role of Boston President of Basketball Operations after longtime team president Danny Ainge stepped down, and has been going gangbusters after Banner 18 since.
The eponymous hosts of the esteemed CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay” podcast recently weighed in on this very question.
