A motorway was closed after a campervan burst into flames on the carriageway.
Traffic was brought to a standstill on the M6 on Thursday, June 30, after the fire broke out between junction 16 for Crewe and junction 17 for Sandbach. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10.22am and arrived to find the van "well alight".
Thick black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky as several fire crews tackled the flames. Nobody is reported to have been hurt in the incident, Cheshire Live reports.

Photos shared by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service show extent of damage caused to the campervan which was completely destroyed by the blaze. The van contained a propane cylinder which was also involved in the fire.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a campervan on fire on the M6. Three lanes of the M6 were closed, southbound, and lane four was open to traffic.
"The camper was well alight and contained a propane cylinder which was involved in the fire. Two hose reels were used at the incident."
The closure caused huge delays on the motorway, with traffic waiting for up to an hour. The carriageway slowly began to reopen from just after 11am. Trapped vehicles were released via lane four but lane closures were in place well into the afternoon.
National Highways confirmed just after 1.30pm that the last of the lane closures had been lifted but delays continued for sometime due to the build-up of traffic during the closure. Cheshire Constabulary said its officers weren't called out to the incident at any point.
