Campaigners have marched against the Government's illegal migration bill in North Tyneside.
Carrying signs and banner, some read 'Choose Love', 'Refugees are just like you and me', as they marched from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay.
The Government legislation will change the law to make it "unambiguously clear" that anyone entering the UK illegally should not be able to remain here.
They will be detained and removed to either their home country or to a safe country while their asylum is considered.

Organised by Tynemouth Together With Refugees, the aim of march was to show compassion and support for those seeking safety from war and persecution.
Penny Henry, who organised the march, said "We are here standing in solidarity with refugees and asylum seekers in the face of some new legislation that's coming out as we speak called the Illegal Migration Bill.
"it will essentially put a ban on people seeking safety in this country. We feel this does not represent us as a society or a country.
"We are standing together and marching to Spanish City at Whitley Bay."
