Camilla, the Queen Consort, was overheard joking with the UK's Eurovision contestant as she joined King Charles in lighting up the show's arena yesterday.
The royal couple visited Liverpool to unveil the stage hosting the global competition, which will crown a national winner on Saturday, May 13.
They met Mae Muller after being given a behind-the-scenes tour of the arena, and setting off a glittering light show which saw them counted down by an invited audience and pushing a large button.
