The unconventional love story of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla has been long and complicated, spanning four decades in the public eye. Since meeting in 1970 at a polo match, the pair have admitted to an affair, survived divorces and the tragic death of Princess Diana - and now they stand together, united as a strong team.
As the couple lead the royal family into the future, a close friend of the King has given an insight into their marriage and revealed how Camilla has changed the monarch in many ways. Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, royal photographer Arthur Edwards claimed Camilla has had a hugely positive influence on Charles, especially when it comes to his temper.

"[He's] calm, much more calm about approaching things. He had a little bit of a sparky temper, but I've not seen that in a long while and I've had some serious telling offs from him, you know?" Arthur explained.
Following the divorce of the former Prince of Wales and Lady Diana in 1996, the royal family suffered a hit in popularity, but managed to upturn the nation's affection.
"They did it through hard work, they just put their heads down and got with it," Arthur said.
"The new Queen, Camilla, she just put everything into it. Over 200 patronages and she is just tireless as well.
"But the most important thing is that she supports the Prince. For instance, when they got off the plane at Northolt the other day.
"He came down and she stayed back in the cabin until he had met the station commander and then she came down and she’s done that all the way.
"She's never ever hogged the limelight. In fact, she is perfect for him."
Other royal sources have also noticed the changes in the monarch, with royal author Penny Junor telling Vanity Fair in January : "I think Camilla has transformed Charles."
She continued: "He is happier with her than he has ever been. She gives him confidence and the support he has so desperately needed throughout his life and never truly found elsewhere."
It seems Queen Elizabeth II was also fond of her daughter-in-law and recognised their special relationship at the end of her life.
As part of her Platinum Jubilee message, the Queen stated her hope that Camilla would be named Queen Consort.
"When, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King," she wrote.
"I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service."
The Queen's "sincere wish" that Camilla should be known as Queen Consort came true following the sad news of her death at the age of 96.
