Prince Charles' wife Camilla used to sneak away for a "crafty fag" with Jeremy Clarkson, a new documentary reveals.
The former Top Gear host admitted he and the future Queen Consort smoked together as part of an ITV documentary chronicling her time guest editing Country Life magazine.
It seems the pair are more alike than you might imagine, with Camilla apparently having a penchant for "risqué and naughty" jokes.
Sarah Troughton, a cousin of the Queen and one of Camilla's pals, testified that Camilla has a cheeky sense of humour.
When asked about the types of jokes Camilla liked to tell, Ms Troughton said: "Oh, lots of very risqué, I would say, as well as naughty."
It is therefore no surprise that Camilla has struck up a friendship with former Top Gear host Mr Clarkson, who is known for his irreverent sense of humour.
Mr Clarkson let slip about him and Camilla smoking together as part of the ITV documentary, which is being released next week to coincide with the royal's 75th birthday.
He said: "I think we get on very well. Um, we used to go… perhaps I shouldn’t say this, but we used to go and sneak a crafty fag round the back of things. But I don’t smoke any more.
"I think she might still sneak a crafty one in occasionally, but you’d have to ask her."
Clarkson also told the documentary: "She’s very good with people – she’s got a great twinkle in her eye.
"There’s no question she obviously came from a privileged background. But not so privileged that the cushions have to be velvet and the blue M&Ms have to be taken out, so you do get the impression that she is one of us."
Camilla said she admired the broadcaster's Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm, which explores his new life as a farmer.
She added that it showed the challenges hard-working farmers face.
In the documentary, Camilla also admitted to stealing her sister Annabel's teddy bear and burying it in their grandmother's garden when they were kids.
The crime was sparked by a row and it remained a secret until Camilla finally confessed on the eve of Annabel's wedding in 1972.
According to Mail on Sunday, Annabel joked that she had still not forgiven the cruel act, adding that it still "rankles" her to this day.
Camilla also shared her love for garden gnomes in the ITV documentary, revealing that Prince Charles has one "hidden away" at Highgrove House.

Meanwhile, it emerged that the portrait of the Duchess of Cornwall featured on the front cover of her edition of Country Life was taken by Kate Middleton.
Mark Hedges, Country Life editor, said that when he asked Camilla if she had any preference for photographers, he was initially stumped by her response.
He added: "She immediately said, 'Catherine.' And none of us could think who she meant. And then some light bulbs started going on."
Kate, who is a keen amateur photographer, took the images at Ray Mill - the Duchess of Cornwall's Wiltshire mansion.
Camilla's Country Life will air at 9pm on ITV on Wednesday.
