Cameron Norrie is through to the Moselle Open final after the Brit saw off Corentin Moutet 6-2 7-6 at Les Arènes on Friday afternoon.
Norrie’s straight set victory in Metz means he has reached the 15th ATP finale of his career. It will also be his first since February 2023.
The 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist is finishing the year on a high note. Norrie could also become the first Brit to win the singles title in the French city.
Standing in his way will be either Alex Michelsen of the United States or Benjamin Bonzi of France. Whoever he faces, Norrie will be quietly confident of landing a 6th career singles title.

Cameron Norrie Progresses To The Moselle Open Final
Newcastle United supporter Cameron Norrie now holds a 2-1 H2H advantage against Corentin Moutet. The Brit had to be at his very best to beat the Frenchman.
Moutet hit a trio of underarm serves to try and catch out Norrie. However, the World No 57 was too wise for his unorthodox tactics and took the first set 6-2.
The second and ultimately deciding set was a lot closer. Norrie claimed a 7-6 (7-5) win to ensure safe passage to Saturday’s final.
Norrie has struggled with a forearm injury throughout 2024. After some rather inept tennis performances, the 29-year-old finally looks like he is returning to his best.
After the match, Norrie heaped praise on his opponent and expressed how he had to get the better of a hostile crowd to secure a fine victory.
“He’s honestly one of my favourite players to watch. The way he moves is incredible and his hands are at another level. I knew it was going to be tough, I’ve played him before last year in Paris and the crowd was tough.
“You guys [the crowd] were tough today as well but thank you everyone for making it a great atmosphere and there were a few people cheering for me, so thank you to you guys.”
