Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Cameron Carter-Vickers will be given time to recover from an ongoing injury issue.
The Hoops secured another return to Hampden Park after beating Rangers 1-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-final, courtesy of an impressive header from Jota. They were made to ride their luck at times but resilience was in abundance to set up a meeting with Inverness Caledonian Thistle on June 3. They will go into that showpiece clash versus a second tier outfit as huge favourites however Postecoglou confessed they will have to see out the remainder of the campaign without their key centre-back, who twice denied Rangers clear-cut opportunities at goal.
He told Viaplay Sports: "I mean I thought the two centre halves were outstanding. I mean that's Cameron Carter-Vickers last game of the year because he's been carrying an injury for I don't know how long. We'll put him out the picture for a little while now and get him what he needs to get it done. But the boys are putting in a shift, it doesn't matter what position they play."

Alistair Johnston was also forced off through injury in the win over Rangers, with his deputy Anthony Ralston barely putting a foot wrong and Postecoglou admitted he was delighted to see the whole squad pull together to get that victory as Celtic chase a domestic Treble.
He added: "He got a sore one, that's why we took him off but he was waving the crutches about out there so he will feel the pain afterwards. We will have a look at it. Again that's the beauty of our squad, Tony Ralston comes in, he hasn't played in I don't know how long and he did a fantastic job for us. And it has been a squad effort."
