Patrick Reed is one of the more controversial golfers on the PGA Tour because of some sketchy things he’s done during some tournaments in the past to get around some of the game’s long-standing rules.
The reputation he’s built by doing that means all eyes are going to be on him when he’s playing to make sure nothing fishy happens.
It also means more people are going to notice if Reed does anything that would make golf Twitter a more fun place during a tournament.
That happened late in Thursday’s first round of the Players Championship when Reed was seen flipping off his ball and then swearing at it after just missing a birdie putt on the 9th hole.
