If one person knows the power of an iconic look, it is Pamela Anderson.
Yes, there’s the Baywatch red swimsuit. But also the 1995 Cannes Film Festival black leather corset and opera gloves, à la Barb Wire, and the 1999 MTV VMA’s huge pink fur hat.
More recently, she has returned to the spotlight thanks to her Netflix documentary Pamela, a love story, a stint as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, as well as the unauthorised Disney+ series Pam & Tommy. Her comeback has proved Anderson has not yet forgotten the art of crafting a viral fashion moment — just take the huge straw hat and halter-neck white dress she wore while strutting into the Jacquemus fashion show last December.
Last night, the blonde actress stepped out of her comfort zone towards the traditional: Anderson doubled down on the Ivy League, preppy aesthetic for an unexpected night out in Camden.
Attending a dinner celebrating Shawn Mendes’ new clothing collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, the actress picked an oversized, collared blue cotton shirt which she styled half buttoned. Anderson paired it with a beige, TH monogram mini skirt, micro belt, and matching beige trench coat emblazoned with the Tommy Hilfiger logo.
Her signature wavy, blonde tresses were prominent as ever, and she added a smoky black eye and strappy black stilettos as she made her way to the party at North London members’ club KOKO.
At supper, Anderson took pride of place next to man of the moment, singer Mendes, who earlier that day had been swarmed by fans on a press appearance at the Tommy Hilfiger Regent Street flagship shop.
Nearby at the soirée, the American fashion designer was joined by Georgia May Jagger, while a stellar crowd including Alexa Chung, The White Lotus’ Will Sharpe, models Jourdan Dunn and Wallis Day and TikTok trainspotter Francis Bourgeois all hunkered down for a Monday night on the town.
