Kind-hearted youngsters at a Cambuslang primary school shared an anti-bullying message as they helped out in the community.
Pupils from West Coats Primary learned how to be responsible citizens ahead of the end of the school year.
As part of the initiative, they talked about what they could do to stop bullying going on in the school, and how they could benefit the area around them.
The pupil leadership team became anti-bullying ambassadors, trained by the Diana Award charity.
The message they sent out to, both to other pupils and the community as a whole, was to "be an upstander" - the opposite of a bystander - when they witness bullying.
The pupils linked their work to the wider issues and ongoing conflict in Ukraine as well.
Towards the end of the term, kids planted sunflowers and nurtured them for a few weeks. They then headed out on a walk to pick up litter and to carry out secret, random doorstep deliveries of their sunflowers to residents.
Shauna Sloan, the acting principal teacher at the Cambuslang school, worked with the kids on their project.
She told Lanarkshire Live: "The pupils are leading our school in finding a new direction and policy for anti-bullying, as well as spreading their message in the local community as they work to achieve their 'community action' badge.
"The children have completely risen to the challenge. They received training from the Diana Award back in March and since then, have been supporting classmates.
"They have developed communication and social skills and have shown a great deal of empathy.
"They have been thoroughly enjoying coming up with creative ideas to spread their message whilst supporting the local community.
"I’m very proud of just how responsible they’ve been so far!"
The Diana Award was established after Princess Diana's death, and aims to recognise and help young people who carry out social or humanitarian work.
