Cambridge University Press and Assessment Group Managing Director for International Education, Rod Smith, has highlighted that Cambridge gives schools the flexibility to select subjects and combinations tailored to their students' needs. According to Smith, this structure directly reflects the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 vision of moving away from rigid academic streams toward flexible, learner-centred education.
Cambridge currently maintains a major footprint in India, with approximately 850 schools delivering its curriculum and examinations, a figure expanding by nearly 15% each year. Across the broader South Asia region, Cambridge operates in about 1,200 schools.
