The Cincinnati Bengals went ahead and activated second-round cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt ahead of the team’s “Sunday Night Football” encounter with the Baltimore Ravens.
That’s at least mildly surprising because CTB was only just cleared to return to practice this week from IR, which opened a 21-day window for his official return to the 53-man roster.
Adding to that surprise, CTB spent some of his week on the scout team standing in the role of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
It is hard to say if CTB will officially be active for Sunday night’s game, too, but the quick turnaround here suggests that ab injury that sent him to IR is largely a thing of the past.
The Bengals also elevated Tyler Shelvin from the practice squad to the main roster for the game and he’ll revert to the squad on Monday.
