Cam Smith will have to wait until the final day of the Links Championship in Scotland to make his emotional competitive return to St Andrews after wretched weather forced the cancellation of third-round 'moving day'.
The championship, played across three grand Scottish links courses at St Andrews' Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, has been shortened to a 54-hole event with gusts topping 50mph on Saturday having forced play to be abandoned at all the venues.
Smith had had his second round at Kingsbarns disrupted by bad weather on Friday but managed to get the final five holes completed on Saturday morning before being whisked off to St Andrews 11km away.
