Maybe everyone should take a deep breath.
Yes, the 34-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers was rough, but the Jacksonville Jaguars are still first place in the AFC South and just a game behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the best record in the conference. So any talk of the team’s Week 11 game against the Tennessee Titans being a “must win” feels a little dramatic to wide receiver Calvin Ridley.
“We need every game … and we only lost three games,” Ridley said. “We only lost three games. We need all of them, but we only lost three games. We’re making a big deal, everyone’s going crazy, we lost three games. 6-3 is good. We just got to get back on our pace. We won five games straight, lost one — we’ll be alright.”

Ridley has reason to be feeling pretty good about the Jaguars’ record. In his four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, the team never made the playoffs or won more than seven games in a season.
Similarly, the veteran receiver isn’t too worried about the offense’s lackluster numbers through the first 10 weeks of the 2023 season.
“Other teams make some good plays on us sometimes,” Ridley said. “I wish we could just nail them every time and it’d be like, ‘We’re doing great.’ But they played pretty good. We’ll continue to just keep playing and figuring it out and hopefully just be good in the games when it’s closer to the end.”
Ridley has 35 receptions for 471 yards with two touchdowns so far this season. He’s also drawn more than 100 yards in penalty yardage.
