Calvin Harris and his fiancé Vick Hope enjoyed a loved-up birthday weekend in Italy as she celebrated her 33rd birthday.
The Dumfries-born DJ picked up Vick from work at the BBC studios in London on Thursday before flying out to the Dolomites in Italy. Calvin, 38, splashed out on a luxury two-story penthouse at the lavish hotel Forestis to celebrate her big day, reports The Sun.
Their room was priced at £3,600 a night, the most expensive option for the hotel, which included a private pool and sauna, its own bar, living room, walk-in wardrobe, and a king-size bed. A source close to the presenter told the publication: “ Vick and Calvin are absolutely head over heels for each other and they are relishing all of the time they have together.
“Their jobs mean they can’t always be in the same place at the same time but Calvin has spent months making sure this would be the perfect getaway to treat her. We’ve never seen her so happy. She’s not with him for material things but this was such a thoughtful treat that she was giddy with excitement.”
On her radio show on Monday, Vick giggled about the treat and said: “It was so lovely. I got picked up after work on Thursday and I went to Italy for a beautiful, beautiful weekend. It was magical.”
The couple got engaged in May after a whirlwind five-month romance and she has been making regular trips to visit Calvin at his home in Ibiza. The two sparked romance rumours when they were pictured together at the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday, where Vick was seen with a huge diamond engagement ring.
The couple are said to be planning an Ibiza wedding as the island has become such a special place for them. An insider told The Sun at the time: "Calvin proposed to Vick under his favourite tree on his farm Terra Masia in Ibiza. Vick said yes immediately, she is madly in love with Calvin and could not be any happier.
"She has been wearing her ring for weeks now but no one really noticed. Of course her Radio 1 colleagues spotted it immediately and it's been an open secret there. Everyone is so happy for her.
"Vick has been telling people they are going to be getting married in Ibiza. It's a really special place for them both now and where they want to spend their lives together. Vick's mum is helping her to plan the wedding and they're already putting together mood boards and plans.
"It was a shock for some people because it happened so quickly but it is obvious how happy they make each other."
A second source said: "Calvin was flying Vick out to Ibiza on his private jet. It was all very romantic and he really laid out the red carpet. Calvin has found the one in Vick."
