Barry Ferguson's men travelled to Istanbul as considerable underdogs against Jose Mourinho's side, although thanks to goals from Cyriel Dessers and Vaclav Cerny, they emerged victorious.
Now in possession of a two-goal lead going into next Thursday's second leg, Rangers fans would be forgiven for having one eye on the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
