In-demand Calvin Bassey will be on the radar of Bundesliga clubs this summer after his Europa League displays.
And pundit Stephen Craigan insists Rangers will be tempted by a £25million offer this summer.
The Nigerian international has impressed for both club and country, but saved his top displays for run to Seville.
Bassey was the standout as Rangers reached the Europa League final, impressing against German giants RB Leipzig and Boruissa Dortmund on the way to the final.
While a move to Aston Villa and a reunion with Steven Gerrard seems like the obvious switch for the 22-year-old, Craigan reckons he won't be short of offers.
While former Rangers hero Sergio Porrini has insisted he knows Serie A clubs are interested, former Northern Ireland cap Craigan reckons German top flight is a likely English Premier League alternative.
Craigan told The Go Radio Football Show : "If someone is willing to come in and pay £25million, that's what he is worth.
"Looking at Calvin Bassey and his performances, particularly against Dortmund and Leipzig, I would be very surprised if there wasn't German clubs looking at him.
"The German market is strong and they don't mind spending £18-£20million on a younger player.
"You think even about Erling Haaland when he came in, Dortmund are a club that are willing to spend that thinking they can get the £50-£60million when they sell them on.
"His performances against Dortmund and Leipzig will have opened the eyes of German clubs, who will think 'can we pinch him? Can we bring him in?'
"He doesn't want to go to a club and not play. I just wonder if there is a stepping stone somewhere else before he goes to the English Premier League.
"The link is natural with Steven Gerrard, and he was sensational over the last few months of the season."
