BAD weather has forced CalMac to cancel ferry services between Ardrossan and Brodick today (Tuesday, September 1).
Both the 11.05am ferry from Brodick and the 12.30pm from Ardrossan have already been cancelled.
Ferry services are also under threat at Troon due to the conditions. The company warned that the 1.25pm arrival into Troon may be liable to delay and further disruption or cancellations could follow at short notice.
No timber and livestock will carried on the Troon service for the remainder of the day.
CalMac said: "We are currently exploring contingency options for the 1.55pm departing Brodick and the 3.20pm departing Ardrossan. All remaining sailings are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice."
MV Isle of Arran has been covering the Arran service from Ardrossan until the return of MV Caledonian Isles following a service.
The vessel is due back tomorrow (Wednesday) but the ferry company warned: "Due to a technical issue with the Port Mezzanine deck on MV Caledonian Isles, vehicle capacity will be reduced.
"An update regarding repairs to the Mezzanine deck will be provided as soon as possible."
