NAGPUR: Akshay Wadkar did on Tuesday what he does the best. He went in there, maneuvered the ball initially and gave a glimpse of his shot-making ability to drive Vidarbha to a six-wicket victory over Assam in Rajkot.
Wadkar (49 n.o; 38b, 4x4, 1x6) played a captain's knock and was involved in two important partnerships as Vidarbha got off to a winning start in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. Chasing a total of 162, Vidarbha reached the destination with seven balls to spare.
