Callum Wilson has labelled his Newcastle United teammate Bruno Guimaraes as a "superstar" after his sensational display in Saturday's 5-1 win over Brentford.
Guimaraes scored his second ever Premier League brace to help Newcastle climb into the top six with back-to-back victories for the first time this season. The Brazilian opened the scoring with a bullet header inside 21 minutes and crowned a fantastic performance with a stunning long range strike into the bottom corner.
Wilson has likened Guimaraes' style to a kid playing in the playground with his friends and believes the midfielder is constantly adding more to his game.
“When he first joined, it took him a few weeks to settle," Wilson told BBC Radio 5 Live. "I guess it was a new league, a new team, a new environment, especially in the North East of England when you just come from a foreign country, with the wind and the cold up here.

"He has settled in. It’s weird because he's got broken English but he's like an English person, with his banter and the way he is around the dressing room. He has a laugh, he's friendly and, above all, he's an unbelievable football player.
“He was fantastic on the weekend - it wasn't just about his goals. He’s added that to his game… he even scored a header! It’s the way he gets on the ball, the way he's flicking it around players is like he’s in the playground with his friends. You know he's just enjoying it, he's a talent and superstar.”
Four new recruits arrived at Newcastle in the summer, while Loris Karius signed as a free agent in September. Nick Pope and Sven Botman joined from Burnley and LOSC Lille respectively and Matt Targett's loan from Aston Villa was converted into a permanent deal.
Newcastle also broke their club transfer record to sign Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad for £60 million. After another busy summer, Wilson has praised the club's recruitment and says that the dressing room is always open to the right characters.
"The club were very smart in the way they brought players in they brought in the right characters. The dressing room, as it was, wouldn't let anybody come in and disrupt the boat so to speak," Wilson said.
“No matter who was going to join, I think they would have fit in any way. The majority were English players and we already had an English core within the dressing room.”
