Callum Wilson has admitted that Newcastle United need another striker to 'keep evolving' as the Magpies continue their search for firepower.
Adding more goals to the side was always Eddie Howe's priority this summer and Newcastle raced out of the blocks to resurrect a move for Hugo Ekitike before the window even opened in June. However, Ekitike, ultimately, decided to join PSG from Stade de Reims last month.
Newcastle previously attempted to sign Ekitike back in January, even after bringing in Chris Wood from Burnley, and Wilson felt that the Magpies needed that additional option up front at the time. Wilson, after all, went on to finish as the club's top scorer with just eight goals last season despite missing several months of the campaign through injury.
