Callum Walsh has taken his professional boxing record to 4-0 with a unanimous decision victory in California.
The Cork native, who now resides in Long Beach, defeated Benjamin Whitaker at the Quiet Cannon Country Club in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Walsh, who is coached by legendary trainer Freddie Roach, had won all three of his professional bouts by knockout in the first round and had his opponent on the canvas within a few moments of the opening bell.

And although Whitaker lasted all six rounds, he was outclassed by the 21-year-old, who landed far more punches that the American throughout the fight, as UFC President Dana White watched on from ringside.
All three judges scored the 154lbs bout 60-53 in the Irishman's favour.
Walsh said after the fight that he hurt his left hand with the first punch he threw.
He is expected to fight again over eight rounds in October.
Walsh signed a broadcasting deal earlier this year for his fights to be shown on UFC Fight Pass.
And White is very excited about what the future holds for the youngster.
“We’ve had a lot of success with the Irish here with Conor [McGregor] and I think this kid could become extremely popular with the Irish,” White told Yahoo Sports.
“I’m not saying he’s going to be [as popular as] Conor, but he’s a great kid and he has a really fun fighting style. We can take him to New York and Boston and really build him into something.”
