Callum Laird: Missing Edinburgh man found after his car is spotted away from home

An Edinburgh man who was reported missing has been found.

Police launched an appeal for the public's help to trace Callum Laird, 24, who was last seen in the capital on Friday, May 5.

It was believed Callum may have travelled to Aberdeen as his vehicle, a white Volkswagon Caddy van was located in the Gallowgate area around 12.50pm on Tuesday, May 9.

Edinburgh police stated on May 10 at around 11.15am that he had been traced.

He has an English accent and while the clothing he was wearing is unknown, Callum is described as being around 6ft 1in tall, of slim build with blonde hair and a beard.

Inspector Susan Taylor said: “Our enquiries to trace Callum and we are appealing for anyone who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who has seen someone matching Callum’s description to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 3381 of 9 May, 2023.
