Callum Hendry has thanked Kilmarnock for his loan spell and dubbed the club "fantastic" as he departs for St Johnstone.
The Perth Saints have invoked a recall clause for the striker who has bagged five goals for the Rugby Park side.
Callum Davidson's side are struggling in the cinch Premiership and have decided that Hendry could be an answer to their problems.
Hendry's contract expires in the summer and he is free to speak to Killie and other clubs about a permanent move at the end of the season.
He heaped praise on Ayrshire this morning, saying: "Just like to thank everyone involved at Killie, honestly a fantastic club with lovely people.
"Enjoyed every minute of it! All the best Kilmarnock."
Killie released a statement on their website revealing the news: "Callum Hendry has been recalled from his loan spell at Killie by parent club St Johnstone.
"The forward returns to Perth after scoring five goals in 15 appearances for Killie since arriving in October.
"We thank Callum for all his efforts at Rugby Park and wish him all the very best for the future."
