In a conversation with rapper Snoop Dogg of all people, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry shared not only that he would have been up to team with Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant again, but also that he thought any trade to the Boston Celtics would have ended poorly.
Speaking to Snoop in a recent article by Rolling Stone’s Matt Sullivan, Curry commented on the range of teams rumored to be in the mix for a KD deal. “Man, he thinks that they’re going to go to teams — like if he went to Phoenix — that they’re gonna be the same team if he’s there,” said the Warriors star.
“(The Celtics) have a little bit of everything, but they would have to deal with the organizational transition to get rid of Jaylen (Brown),” added Curry.
Celtics fans in favor of expansion might be a lot less enthusiastic about it once the daydream becomes a reality. https://t.co/19JfoahgC8

“He’s such a pivotal piece. … If they would have done that …,” he continued, making an exploding noise while imitating a detonation with his hands.
While the context of the conversation is undoubtedly lost a bit in translation here, it seems pretty safe to say the Dubs star did not expect such a trade to work.
