People are being encouraged to sign up to Oil Buying Clubs in order to save money on winter heating this year.
Householders across Northern Ireland are being encouraged to join the NI Oil Buying Network in order to get better value for their home heating oil during the cost of living crisis.
The scheme is run by the Housing Executive and is available to all householders, whether they are a homeowner or in a rental property.

The scheme can save between £10 and £21 on 200 litres of oil for households.
South Belfast Alliance councillor Michelle Guy said any help with heating will make a big difference for people this winter due to rising costs.
She said: "Any help with the cost of heating your home this winter is important. The NIHE’s Oil Buying Network offers households the opportunity to make savings on home heating oil. As a representative for the BT8 area, I would encourage residents to sign up and start benefiting from cheaper oil.”
The scheme is free for people to join and over the last 12 months, membership in it has risen by 32%.
Robert Clements, Housing Executive’s Head of Sustainable Development, said: “The NI Oil Buying Network is managed by the Housing Executive NI Energy Advice Service.
“The scheme is open to all householders across Northern Ireland, including those who rent or own their home and to Housing Association and Housing Executive tenants.
"We are trying to help people who buy 200, 300 or 400 litres at a time to get better value. According to our latest data over the last month, if you buy 200 litres you can save anything from £10 to as much as £21 plus.
“Half a million homes in Northern Ireland use oil – that’s 68% of the population, mostly in our rural areas. Over the last 12 months our membership has increased by around 32%, so householders can definitely see the value in joining up.
