Helen George from the BBC's Call The Midwife has been supported by her co-stars as she hit back at fans' criticism.
The actress issued a defiant response to cruel critics after they attacked her for being pregnant while filming the new series of the BBC drama.
Helen, who plays Trixie Franklin in the programme, felt that she had to defend herself after some viewers took exception to the fact she was clearly pregnant on screen, while her character isn't.

After seeing some of the harsh comments, Trixie took to her own Twitter account to give the critics a piece of her mind.
She wrote: "I’ve seen too many ridiculous comments about my pregnancy whilst filming @CallTheMidwife1 (also thank you for the lovely comments!)
"Women get pregnant, our bodies change. But we have the right to work if we choose to do so. How about just supporting it, and don’t question it?"
Her co-stars were quick to come to her defence as Olly Rix, who plays Matthew Aylward in the drama, retweeted a post while adding his own thoughts.
One comment from a viewer called Fanny, which has since been deleted, read: "It's very unprofessional in my opinion, it's not as if it's filmed all year round.
"It's a short window. She should quit if she wants to pregnant [ sic ] during filming. It ruins the continuity and aesthetics of the show."
Olly retweeted this as he angrily said: "Take a bow, Fanny. Dumbest f***ing tweet of the night."
Kinder fans also issued their support to the actress.
Lauren said: "My thoughts were something along the lines of Trixie looks so beautiful and is such a great nurse who is so good at her job. Oh the camera isn’t panning down Helen must be pregnant . She looks so amazing and is so good at her job. #CallTheMidwife."
Geoff said: "Didn't notice your pregnancy in the slightest, but even if I had you're spot on to say you have every right to keep on working, and anyone making negative comments should stay quiet.
"You're brilliant, the show's brilliant, the only thing to say is thank you for everything."
Nicola said: "Well said Helen, you’ve looked fabulous as always throughout this series. So many women work while pregnant and whether it’s in a TV show or on stage, it shouldn’t make any difference - looking forward to your return to the show."
