A man has been banned from all Merseyrail services and parts of Wirral after violent behaviour towards staff and harassment of women.
Martin Thomas can no longer enter parts of Moreton, ride on any Merseyrail train or visit a station or footbridge. The prohibitions are part of a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order imposed by the courts after an application from Merseyside Police.
The order followed the 41-year-old admitting to possession of cocaine and a public order offence related to his behaviour towards Merseyrail staff and women in the area. It will run until March 13, 2024.

Thomas was sentenced at Wirral Magistrates' Court this week.
Inspector Al McKeon, Community Policing Inspector in Wirral said: "Thanks to our work with British Transport Police a man who caused great distress and fear across our community can no longer enter parts of Moreton and Merseyrail property.
"I’d like to thank our officers and those from British Transport Police who were involved in successfully detaining Thomas. We hope this order ensures the safety of our residents and anyone who works in this area from Thomas’s violent behaviour.
"The order is an extremely effective tool, and our successful application for the CBO against Thomas in this case shows our commitment to robustly deal with any offenders who have a negative impact on the community. Should Thomas breach the conditions of this order, he will be re- arrested, returned to court and jailed."
