Councils urged to act over huge number of double yellow line fines

Motorists across the UK were issued a staggering 1.6 million fines for illegally parking on yellow lines in 2024, according to new data.

The AA, which uncovered these figures, argues that while drivers are "willing to follow the rules", they require "practical parking solutions".
