Adelaida Vineyards, which is a winery in California established in 1981, now has an uncertain future ahead of it due to a feud among family members that cost the winery $12.7 million in a judgment and caused the winery to file for bankruptcy. The winery, which is based in Paso Robles, filed under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in December 2024, declaring about $16 million worth of debts. A bankruptcy plan required the company to find a buyer by 15 October 2026 or risk having its assets sold off. The deadline has now passed, leaving the winery’s next steps uncertain.
