Five men were injured in a stabbing following an alleged drunken altercation in Old Sacramento, California, early Saturday, and an 18-year-old suspect has been arrested, police said.

According to the New York Post, the violence allegedly began as a booze-fueled argument that escalated into a stabbing near Front Street and K Street shortly after 3 am.
Police found three men with stab wounds at the scene, while two more victims later arrived at a local hospital with injuries linked to the same incident.
All five victims were hospitalised and were in stable condition as of Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
Police arrested 18-year-old Sacramento resident Ezekiel Griffis after identifying him as a person of interest in the investigation. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on assault charges.
Three people were initially detained following the incident, but two were later released. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
The stabbing has renewed attention on safety concerns in Old Sacramento, which has witnessed several high-profile violent incidents in recent years.
In 2021, the district saw a large brawl involving around 50 juveniles and a homicide later that summer, prompting calls from residents and business owners for stricter action against street partying, public intoxication and other disturbances.
